Reprographic services

There are 4 colour multifunction devices and 2 special book scanners. Printing and copying is only possible with a chip card (ISIC, ITIC, student cards, employee cards). Payment is made using a SUPO account, which must first be activated and then deposited. Deposits can be made by bank transfer or credit card, or on the spot via the top-up machine on the second floor of the library by the multifunctional equipment.

Print and copy service

You can print by sending documents from a PC in the library, from email or from the web interface - see the easy-to-follow How to print, copy and scan guide. To print from your own laptop you must first install the appropriate drivers, instructions can be found here.

What do I need to print and copy?

To print, You need an active SUPO account (where I deposit a certain amount of money) and a device with internet access.

Where can I print from?

Printing is possible from most computer labs and libraries
individual faculties of MU, from a laptop, also from a mobile phone or
other portable devices with internet access.

It is also possible to send the file as an attachment directly from the school
e-mail UČO@mail.muni.cz to print@ics.muni.cz, or from the web interface https://print.ucn.muni.cz/m/.

Which printer should I send the file to?

Select PRINT MU from the menu. You can then print on any multifunction device in the library.

Can I print in colour or double-sided?

All printers have black and white as the default setting
single-sided printing. This setting can be changed when sending
document in the printer properties.

I don't have my ISIC with me, can I still print?

If you do not have an ISIC, it is possible to log in
generate a PIN code on the print server website
https://print.ucn.muni.cz. The PIN generated is valid
24 hours and to log in you must use the touch screen
on the printer's touch screen.

I sent the wrong document to print, what can I do?

You can use the web interface to check your print queue
https://print.ucn.muni.cz or by logging into the printer
to change your printing (settings, documents) directly from the printer's panel.

Why can't I copy even if I have money in my SUPO account?

A minimum balance of CZK 32.20 is required for copying.

Can I have a copy of the text prepared for me?

As part of our Copy on Demand service, we can provide you with a printed copy of a text from our collection upon your request.

Terms:

  • the service is paid (2 CZK per page + 25 CZK for ring binding)
  • the order will be made within 5 working days as standard
  • you can pick up your copy at the library's lending desk within 7 working days (or by appointment)

In the request form, please specify which book you are requesting and the required size, we will then contact you to confirm receipt of your request.

Scanning

Self-service scanning of documents is possible on the book scanners on the first and third floors of the library. The scanners are suitable for scanning large amounts of text and the foot pedal control makes scanning relatively quick. It is possible to scan to your own flash drive, and smaller files can be emailed. The service is free of charge.

Scanning can also be done on multifunction devices. The service is also free, but to use it you need to have an activated SUPO account and a minimum balance of 32.20 CZK on the card.

Ring bindery and lamination

Ring bindery

The self-service ring bindery is freely available to users on the second floor of the library, opposite the borrowing desk. Ring binding materials can be purchased from the library staff for 15 CZK.

Document lamination

A laminator with a cutting machine is freely available to users on the second floor of the library opposite the borrowing desk. Laminating foils can be purchased from the library staff - A4 format for 3 CZK, A3 for 5 CZK.
